  • Sept 2008 – Oct 2011: ‘Professional Ethics in the Army.’ A project where ethics planning workshops will be held in all battalions of the Army, and research on the effects of these will be carried out. Project owner is the Army War School.
  • May 2010 – Oct 2010: Commissioned by the Ministry of Defence to assist in the establishment of an ethical council for the defence sector. This includes planning and facilitating a consensus conference on the subject.
  • Sept 2009 – March 2010: Project leader for and researcher in the project ‘Developing an ISO standard for nanotechnology ethics? A status report.’
  • Jan 2008 – Jun 2010: Researcher and project leader for a sub project of the Norwegian Research Council’s Programme for Regional Innovation R&D and Innovation (VRI), region Vestfold. The work involves planning, organising and facilitating different kinds of dialogical processes, as well as performing research on these processes.
  • Aug 2009 – Dec 2009: Commissioned by the Research Council to facilitate the process of evaluating the relevance of the research carried out on organic agriculture in Norway.
  • May 2009 – Sept 2009: Commissioned by the Ministry of Defence to assist in the preparation of an updated plan for Attitudes, Ethics and Leadership (HEL) for the Norwegian Defence. This included planning and facilitating a consensus conference on the subject.

  • Oct 2008 – Nov 2008: Commissioned by the Athena Institute at the Free University of Amsterdam to write a report on ethical principles in animal welfare legislation in Scandinavia
  • August 2007 – Dec 2007: Project leader and researcher on a project for the National Courts Administration, studying the causes for the low share of female leaders in Norwegian courts, as well as proposing measures to increase the share.
  • June 2007 – Spring 2008: Engaged by the Centre for Bioethics and Risk Assessment (Faculty of Life Sciences, Uni. of Copenhagen) for work on the EU project EADGENE (European Animal Disease Genomics Network of Excellence for Animal Health and Food Safety). The work consisted in planning and carrying out participatory processes at four veterinary research institutions in Europe, engaging veterinary researchers in value dialogue related to animal genomics research.
  • March 2007 – July 2007: Project leader and researcher on a project for the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority, evaluating the method of supervision used in the Authority’s campaign in hospitals. The work, which consisted in a questionnaire survey, focus group interviews and document analysis, resulted in a report.

  • July 2006 – Dec 2006: Researcher/facilitator on a subcontract to the EU project Environmental Risk from Ionising Contaminants: Assessment and Management (ERICA). The work consists in facilitating at a consensus conference, co-authoring a report from the conference, as well as writing two articles to be submitted to relevant international journals.
